When I left New York for the UAE, I feared my days of cold-pressed juices, nutmilks, matcha lattes and all other trendy, healthy foods were numbered. I would be partially right. Abu Dhabi in particular is still growing in this space. However, despite my initial skepticism, I’ve been overjoyed to discover a flourishing health and fitness scene in Dubai this past year — complete with the plant-based food eatery and hidden gem Wild & The Moon.
Situated within Alserkal Avenue, Wild & The Moon is a 100% organic cafe in Dubai with a menu filled with vegan and gluten-free options. Their onsite ‘Wild Lab’ whips up fresh, homemade cold-pressed juices, nutmilks, vitality shots, smoothies, salads, healthy snacks, hot drinks and more.
Not only is the selection healthy, it’s specifically crafted by vegan experts and chefs to be hearty and delicious. So, there is no compromising on taste or feeling satisfied at the end of your meal. I promise.
Wild & The Moon is also committed to making food that’s good for you and the environment. The eatery works with local, ethically sourced, and seasonal ingredients along with biodegradable packaging. Making each meal guilt-free on a variety of levels.
With a part cafe, part community space set up, Wild & The Moon has easily become one of the best breakfast and lunch spots in Dubai. I love the space's pared-back, minimalist decor and abundance of hanging plants. Plus, with its casual workspace vibes (I've never been to the cafe and not seen a hip professional typing away on a laptop), it's a freelancer's paradise. As a freelancer myself and frequent commuter to Dubai, this last point is key.
Wild & The Moon is open for all-day breakfast (another big perk in my books!), lunch and healthy snacks from 8am-7pm and is located in unit H-77 Alserkal Avenue, Al Quoz 1. Head to the cafe to experience the concept for yourself or follow their story on Instagram @wildandthemoon.
